Weezer drops surprise new single "Thank God for Girls"
Thank God for Weezer, amirite?
In a world where country music about Scooby Doo nightlights is popular, and you can't turn on the radio without hearing Ed Sheeran mumble into the microphone, one band stands alone.
Known for such hits as "Beverly Hills", "Pork and Beans" and "Buddy Holly", alt-rock band Weezer released a surprise new single today called "Thank God for Girls." The song is likely the lead to a new album, which would be their 10th studio release.
It slaps you with a big fat chorus and includes lyrics about being force fed cannolis. God and Adam, sweaty girls in overalls, and the Sears underwear catalog and...well, you'll just have to listen. Below is the "unofficial" music video from Weezer's official VEVO channel. It's quite weird, too.
"Thank God For Girls" is available to purchase on iTunes
Since parting with Republic Records, Weezer is now under Crush Music who also manages Fall Out Boy and Train.
