Will Arndt takes win for Homecoming game and king

Senior Will Arndt, of Sandy Hook, Conn., has been named MASCAC Offensive Player of the Week following an outstanding effort in Saturday's 57-30 win over Fitchburg State and received a crown of blue velvet and faux jewels during the half-time ceremonies when he was crowned Homecoming King.
Arndt completed 19 of 33 passes for 389 yards and six touchdowns as the Western Connecticut State University football team upended Fitchburg State University, 57-30 on Homecoming Night at the Westside Athletic Complex on Saturday.
Western travels to Worcester State University next Saturday for a 2 p.m. meeting with the Lancers. Fitchburg, now 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the MASCAC, will enjoy a bye week next Saturday and return to action on October 31 when it travels to Westfield State University for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
